The main objective of the tournament is to raise awareness about road safety regulations and generate funds for road safety initiatives in India. Leveraging the immense popularity of cricket and its legendary players, the tournament serves as a powerful platform to champion this cause. Its inaugural edition took place in 2020, featuring teams of cricket legends from India, Sri Lanka, West Indies, South Africa, Bangladesh, and England. The team holds the title of defending champions, having clinched victory in the inaugural 2020 edition. With a star-studded lineup comprising Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh, Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan, Munaf Patel, Pragyan Ojha, and other notable players, they are a formidable force. Tendulkar, in particular, stands out as the top run-scorer of the tournament, amassing an impressive 249 runs in just 5 matches.

Sri Lanka Legends

In both editions of the tournament, they secured a spot in the semifinals. The team boasts a formidable lineup featuring cricket legends like Tillakaratne Dilshan, Sanath Jayasuriya, Muttiah Muralitharan, Chaminda Vaas, and Rangana Herath. Among their outstanding players, Muralitharan stands as the top wicket-taker of the tournament, having taken an impressive 13 wickets in just 5 matches.

Australia Legends

After missing the first edition, the team made their debut in the second season. It comprises notable players like Brett Lee, Brad Hodge, Shane Watson, and Andrew Symonds. Additionally, former Australian captain Ricky Ponting will be participating in the tournament for the very first time.

England Legends

The star player, Kevin Pietersen, is anticipated to light up the field with his explosive batting performances. Other essential players to watch out for are Owais Shah, Monty Panesar, and James Tredwell. However, the team’s journey in both editions has been cut short as they were eliminated in the group stage on both occasions.

West Indies Legends

Led by the legendary Brian Lara, the team comprises other cricketing greats like Dwayne Smith, Carl Hooper, and Ridley Jacobs. Throughout the tournament’s history, they have consistently performed well, reaching the semi-finals in both editions. However, despite their impressive runs, they have yet to secure a spot in the finals.

South Africa Legends

The team showcases a talented array of South African legends, including Jonty Rhodes, Lance Klusener, Makhaya Ntini, and Alviro Petersen. Lance Klusener, being an exceptional all-rounder, holds a pivotal role for the team. New Zealand Legends

Making their tournament debut, the team was led by Jacob Oram and featured former players like Jamie How and Jason Spice. Although absent in the first edition of the tournament, they participated for the first time in the subsequent season. However, in their debut appearance, they were unable to progress beyond the group stage.

Bangladesh Legends

The team comprises former Bangladeshi players, including Mohammad Rafique, Khaled Mashud, Nafees Iqbal, and Aftab Ahmed. Despite their efforts, they were unable to advance past the group stage in both of their attempts in the tournament.
